What is a Vape Starter Kit?

So the box mod is essentially the power source, and then you have a tank that will contain and vaporize the e-liquid. All tanks have a threaded pin at the bottom, which screws directly onto the vape mod. Nearly every box mod on the market will use what is called a standard 510 connection to attach a tank or atomizer.

There are so many types of vape tanks now out that even us advanced vapers can get confused. However, they can all generally be broken down into two types of draw categories; either MTL (mouth-to-lung) or DTL (direct-to-lung).
An MTL tank will allow the type of pull or draw that you usually associate with a traditional cigarette. It is typically a two-step process of; taking a pull, so vapor enters the mouth and then inhaling it into the lungs – just like a regular smoker would.
A direct-to-lung or direct-lung vape is when you inhale directly into your lungs in one motion. For this style of vaping, these tanks usually have larger air holes (known as airflow), which helps create a looser, airier draw.
Most tanks come with adjustable airflow, which helps vapers to find their own personal airflow and inhale balance. However, it’s challenging for manufacturers to make a tank that can completely satisfy both MTL and DTL vapers. Due to this, you will see most tanks being marketed directly to each type of vaper.
AIO
AIO (all-in-one) refers unsurprisingly to vape starter kits that come with everything you need in one device. The unique feature of an AIO device is that the tank is integrated with the battery, meaning you can’t separate them.
AIO devices are great for new vapers, or people who want a vaping device but don’t know where to start and don’t want the complexities of different tanks, etc. AIO starter vape kits are almost like a plug & play device. They are ideal for anyone wanting a simple vaping solution. There are great choices available on the market for all vapers.
Pod Mods
Pod mods are like evolved versions of cig-a-likes and make for a great starter kit. Although they don’t necessarily look like a cigarette, they share the same features as cig-a-likes with a mouth-to-lung type draw and pre-filled e-liquid pods.
